Why Hire a Professional Videographer?
A professional videographer knows his or her equipment intimately and knows how to use it. A pro has the experience to know where to be and how to capture the moment both technically and artistically.
Why Not Hire a Relative or Friend to Shoot the Video?
They usually don't have the equipment or experience to capture everything you want. Often they are distracted by people they know at the event and miss 'key shots'.
What Kind of Equipment Do You Use?
We use professional quality 3-CCD camcorders as well as HD camcorders for HD productions. The camcorders have excellent lenses and zooming capabilities for wide angles and close ups. These camcorders deliver rich color and detail and function extremely well in low-light situations. However on or off camera lighting is available for critical situations. We use fluid head tripods as well as steady sticks, monopods and steady cams for smooth movement. We utilize studio quality wireless and shotgun microphones to record your vows. We also employ talented and experienced professionals with an eye for quality and beauty. We are always thinking ahead to capture each shot.
How Do You Stay Inconspicuous?
We try and stay unobtrusive and still get the shots you need. Sometimes we need to step in to get the perfect shot yet still be steady and smooth in our work. Remember a videographer is always shooting and has to move very carefully and smoothly unlike a photographer that can point and shoot and then move over and over again.
How Do You Describe Your Style?
We try and represent a true picture of your special day. Basically we are documenting your event as it unfolds. We bring an artistic element into your video that reveals the storyline of the day. Of course we cannot 'retake' these shots so we try and plan ahead for each phase of your wedding. This isn't a feature film but we know you are in the starring role so we try and capture every precious moment we can to enhance your memories of that day.
How Long Is A Typical Video?
The entire video rarely runs over two hours. Some clients prefer a more condensed version that lasts between forty sixty minutes. We usually create a montage of the pre and post ceremonies that act as entertaining transitions between the most memorable parts of the ceremony and reception. Are There Traveling Fees? There are no traveling fees if the wedding is within 50 miles of our office. Ocassionally there are minimal expenses such as parking and or paid admision that may need to be reimbursed. Do You Create Love Story Videos? We can but they are often very time consuming and expensive. We only produce interview based documentary style storylines with existing photos; otherwise they tend to be unrealistic and phony. Do You Shoot Rehearsal Dinners? We can schedule a videographer to shoot any pre wedding footage for an extra fee.
How Do We Hire You?
Once you have made your decision to hire us, we will work with you to create the best package to fulfill your needs. We then check to see that your date is available and that the schedule is in place. Next, you will sign a contract outlining the details of your package. After signing the contract a 50% deposit is due to confirm and reserve your date. The remaining balance is due at least two weeks before the day of the wedding.
What Do We Need To Do Before The Wedding?
We will have you fill out a Videography Wedding Planning Sheet 4-8 weeks before the wedding. This will help us confirm the details of the moments from the pre-ceremony to the end of the reception. We cover every important factor including the timeline, locations, critical phone numbers, church rules and regulations for the videographer and other important details. One of our videographers will contact you approximately 1-2 weeks before the wedding to iron out any details, changes in schedules, questions or concerns you may have.
